Chennai Location
Chennai city is located at the east coastal area of India facing the Bay of Bengal on the Coromandel Coast of India. The latitude is 13.04° N and the longitude is 80.17° E. The four administrative parts of the city are Egmore, Fort Tondiarpet, Mylapore, and Perambur. Chennai is flanked by two rivers namely Cooum or Koovam River, and Adyar River on the south. Running parallel to the coast the Buckingham Canal links the two rivers. North Chennai houses industrial area while the Central Chennai is commercial hub of the city. The South and West part of Chennai are mainly residential areas, yet some of the modern business complexes are set up here.
