Chennai International Airport
Chennai International Airport is located at Tirusulam at a distance of 7 kilometers from the city. It is the third largest airport in India serving as an international gateway to India. Chennai International Airport has three terminals, the old Meenambakkam terminal is the hub of cargo now, and the new passenger terminal located at Pallavaram has two terminals-the domestic and international. Both the domestic and international terminals have administrative offices and restaurants.
Chennai airport receives huge passenger traffic throughout the year as it is an international gateway to southern India. Various domestic and international flights are operated from the terminals. This airport is maintained by the Airports Authority of India.
