Kamaraj Memorial House
Kamaraj Memorial House is a permanent gallery constructed in memory of charismatic former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri Kamaraj. He is an ideal one for the locals of Tamil Nadu as well India as he has a survivor story rose out of poverty. The former CM M. G. Ramchandaran inaugurated this memorial in 1978. It has two floors which gives a clear insight into life of Shri Kamaraj.
The ground floor of the building houses the bedroom of the veteran personality decked with plain furniture. The well-stocked library of the houses has a good collection of the books. A huge collection of photographs of Shri Kamaraj are also seen in the memorial. Some of the photographs are of his childhood and some are of his political life.
The second floor of the House exhibits a collection of his belongings like luxuriant Felicitation Shawls, his simple attire, his suitcases, timepiece, pens and utensils. One will see here various other important collections on life of Kamaraj.
