Freemasons Hall
The Freemason's Hall in Chennai, one of the colonial buildings was built by the British East India Company in 1923. It was used for military troops of the foreign power. It is located in Egmore area of Chennai which can be easily reached from the city.

Freemason's Hall is a double-storied mansion which can accommodate 200 people altogether at a time. . The building is designed in Greek pattern of style which is reflected in its four massive pillars. The interiors of the hall are decked with Italian tiles and marbles. The dining hall of it has a sitting capacity of 150 people altogether. It is made of Sholingar stones. The main hall has clerestory windows which are 12 feet from the floor. The small rooms of Freemasons are also spacious enough to attract one’s glance.
